Ray Kilby is a graduate of the Royal College of Art. He has worked as a TV and film director and photographer for more than 20 years. His worked has been BAFTA nominated. Years of dealing with difficult stars and nervous clients and his love of lighting have made him well suited to the business of taking a portrait.
Ray works from his photographic studio in Central London, moments from the River Thames and the hustle and bustle of Borough Market.
"It is important to me that the client is relaxed and happy. I'd rather sit and have a cup of tea and a chat with them at first, instead of just pushing them in front of a bank of lights. The most important thing to me that a client leaves relaxed, having enjoyed the experience, and delighted with the results."
Ray also sells limited edition prints of his reportage work and takes on commissions.
